Martin Cornforth

Martin Cornforth joined Austin Moore & Partners LLP in 2026 bringing 18 years’ experience of advising Human Resources and People Services teams on commercially focused employment law solutions.

He regularly defends employment tribunal proceedings for employers and provides strategic, pragmatic advice across the full spectrum of workplace issues.

Martin handles employment law for clients across a broad range of sectors including retail, manufacturing, construction, health, etc.

Martin has significant experience supporting clients in the employment aspects of corporate and property deals.

In addition to employer work he supports employees through the process of entering into settlement agreements with clarity and sensitivity.

Martin has developed particular expertise in the education sector, advising community, foundation, independent, and religious schools, as well as multi-academy trusts. His experience includes safeguarding matters and advising on issues arising under the Burgundy Book and School Teachers’ Pay and Conditions Documents (STPCD). He has also delivered MBL seminars on education law topics.
